How We Price

We use the per-transcription-hour method. And we've been using it for over 20 years. It's not the roll of the dice you've been led to believe it is.

Consider this.

Per-page pricing sounds set in stone but you may get humungous margins and double spacing.

Per-audio-hour also sounds guaranteed until you find it sorted into audio types - A, B and C, Level 1, Level 2 - with concomitantly rising rates, and you don't know how your sound files will be rated until they're being worked on. Sometimes you're even charged extra for providing "poor" quality.

We, on the other hand, give it our best shot before advising you if they're going to run long or they’re not transcribable. No charge.

And we don't charge for "additional" speakers in your groups either.

Or for converting your tapes and video to digital.

Or for rush jobs. If it fits into our schedule, we’ll get it done on time.

You’ll get each of your carefully crafted transcripts in Word via email the moment we’ve completed them.

We only ask for payment in full within 30 days of receipt of the final invoice. If your billing cycle doesn’t permit that, just let us know ahead of time.

When you call with your project, we’ll give you an estimate range and that's where your costs will fall. Period. If we run into something unforeseen, we'll contact you, before any money is spent. Our transcribers are professionals; no one is dragging their fingers, running up your tab. Your transcripts are clear, precise, useable and - especially - reasonably priced.
